Stand Firm

Our society is trying its best to drown out the message of Christ in a less than subtle effort to transform our nation from its Christian roots into one that avoids the mention of his name at all costs for fear of offending someone. As Ronald Reagan once said, “If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” Instead of backing down to this trend, we need to stand firm, speak up in love, and never compromise as we fight for our core beliefs.

We do that through prayer, love, and action. Action means that the church needs to get out each election and vote to preserve our freedom. Write to your elected officials and let them know your stance on important issues that affect our religious freedom. Do not sit back and keep silent, but speak up in love. The church can act without being an angry, ignorant mob, but rather be a loving, well-educated body of Christ that demonstrates to the world that he has the answers they have been searching for.

Equip yourself with the full armor of God. Stand firm in your faith, love your enemies, and share Christ with the world.

Ephesians 6:13 (NLT) - “Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.”
