Pray For Your Children Daily

Even when they are adults! We have prayed daily for ours since the day they were born and it doesn’t stop just because they are grown adults and two of them have children of their own. We pray for those grandchildren as well.

One of our daughters and her family were in the path of a hurricane two years ago and we prayed. The rising floods stopped inches from her doorstep and did not enter their home. That same daughter was in the path of Hurricane Dorian a few days ago and we prayed. It turned north and bypassed them, causing no damage to their home. Was it because of our prayers? Maybe… maybe not. But we prayed and our prayers were answered. We will continue to pray.

We pray over many areas of their lives and the lives of their children and have seen God answer those prayers. We will never cease to pray until he calls us home. It’s our duty as parents to pray for our children. My parents prayed for me (my 94-year old father still does) and the same goes for my wife’s parents. I trust we have passed the legacy on to our children and they will pass it to theirs.

Prayer makes things happen and it changes things. God loves it when his people pray. Never cease to pray for your children daily. Their physical lives may depend on it and their spiritual lives most certainly do!

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NLT) - “Never stop praying.”
