The natural tendency is to keep our sins a secret and hide them. God already knows, so don’t fool yourself into believing that you’re hiding them from him.
The Word tells us to confess our sins to one another. That means that you need to have a close friend or two that you can share your struggles with and trust that they will pray with you when you have areas in your life that you need help or accountability in to overcome.
Ask God to shine a light on all your sin and reveal them all to you, even things that you may not even realize that is sin. Root out all sin and evil from your life and live in freedom from the guilt and shame that comes with hidden or unconfessed sin.
Psalms 19:12-13 (NLT) - “How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.”
