Pray Without Ceasing

Besides the obvious things you need to pray for, like your family and health, there are plenty of others to pray for and give thanks for during this time. Certainly, the doctors, nurses, and medical staff are on the front lines of the battle against COVID-19 as they treat patients who have tested positive, as well as their normal heavy workload of patients.

High on the prayer list are the law enforcement, fire fighters, and paramedics who are our first responders as we experience lock-downs and curfews. Pray for our government officials, from the President all the way down to our governors, mayors and city councils. They make critical decisions that greatly affect our way of life on a social, physical, and economic level. Pray that our media would transition back to a source of news and information, instead of an extension of one or the other of a political party. May we, as a nation, become unified with a common goal of ending this pandemic, setting aside politics and power.

God is no respecter of persons or political affiliation. COVID-19 does not care if you are a republican or democrat. It doesn’t even care if you are lost or saved. God does care about the condition of your soul. Seek Him first and His righteousness. Pray for the lost and the sick. Pray for our leaders, first responders, medical professionals, pastors, and one another. Pray without ceasing!

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (ESV) - “Pray without ceasing.”
