That Last Full Day

The thing I always hate about the last full day of a trip is all the things that run through my head. Who did I not get to visit with or visit with enough? What places did I want to see that I missed? The worst part of the day is having to pack for an early morning departure on the next day.

So much time is lost in trying to squeeze in last minute things that the last day disappears in a flash. Saying goodbye is always hard, especially with grandchildren, because I realize how fast they grow and change.

The last day of this trip will be sweetened a little by the knowledge that we will be returning soon. We have so much to do when we get back. It will be an incredibly busy time. Our last full day there will be a real crusher!
