More Memories in the Making

We just arrived at our friends’ house for a weeklong visit. They are the kind of friends that, no matter how long between visits, it feels like we were never apart. I have personally needed this mini vacation and I feel more relaxed in spite of the long drive. We have spent a lot of time together over the years and made lots of wonderful memories. I’m sure we’ll be making many more this week.

Memories are good and bad. I try to dwell on the good ones. They lift me up and make me smile or even laugh at times. We all sit around and talk about the good times, sharing old photographs, or digital pics these days. The best memories reside inside our brains.

Live a life that pleases God and be obedient to him. You will be blessed with happy memories and a joyful countenance. Surround yourself with friends who love the Lord and love you and make awesome memories.

Proverbs 10:7 (NLT) - “We have happy memories of the godly, but the name of a wicked person rots away.”
