Laws are for our safety and protection and help maintain order in society. If there were no laws chaos and violence would wreak havoc on this great nation of ours. Look at cities where laws are ignored and riots break out, causing damage and destruction and bringing people’s livelihoods to utter ruin.
Yesterday we were driving on a freeway and observed another driver weaving in and out of traffic, well above the speed limit, and even passing cars on the shoulder of the road. The congestion was so heavy that he never really gained an advantage through his dangerous actions as he violated numerous traffic laws.
God gives us guidance through His Word to lead us through life. We maintain peaceful and orderly lives if we follow Him and live according to His commands. It’s not to have a lawgiver ruling over us. He is a loving merciful God that knows what is best for His children. Cheerfully and loyally love and obey the Father and it will go well with you.
Psalms 18:21 (NLT) - “For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not turned from my God to follow evil.”
