Gravity Works

It is no mystery that if you hold a rock in your hand and let go of it what will happen. It will immediately fall to the ground. That is the law of physics at work. Gravity keeps us from floating off into space and becoming space junk.

My wife experienced the effects of gravity first hand at the dog park this morning.  A group of large dogs were playing and chasing each other and took her legs right out from under her. She landed hard on her right hip thanks to Mr. Gravity. It is a painful experience to say the least. Fortunately the X-rays revealed that she only bruised her hip and did not fracture it.

Humans are subject to the laws of physics but God is not. He created the earth and all the universe, along with all of their effects upon one another. He is our great and awesome God!

Jeremiah 31:35-36 (NLT) - “It is the Lord who provides the sun to light the day and the moon and stars to light the night, and who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and this is what he says: “I am as likely to reject my people Israel as I am to abolish the laws of nature!”
