Oh Wonderful You

Is it hard to be humble? Are you perfect in every way? (I borrowed this from an old Mac Davis song). Perhaps you feel the opposite way. Are you truly humble to the point of being down on yourself and maybe even focused on your imperfections?

I think both extremes are unhealthy and may lead you astray. We should show humility while realizing that God created us in His image and made us to be uniquely the way He formed us. Inside and out we are wonderfully and beautifully created.

Think about the miracle of all the individual parts inside us and the way each part depends on the others. Who but God could have created the universe and everything in it? Be thankful for you… oh wonderful you!

Psalms 139:13-16 (NLT) - “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.”
