Genealogy

As I sit and study the faces of my grandchildren I am amazed that they are truly a part of me. Genes and DNA have been passed down to me from generations before me and mine are passed down to generations after me. This so fascinating.

I am so thankful that all of my grandchildren know me and have interacted with me. They will carry lasting memories of me forever. I have good memories of both of my grandmothers, fleeting memories of one of my grandfathers, and none of the other. I often wonder what my ancestors were like. Wouldn’t it be nice to know everything about them?

Our family trees may not necessarily be filled with wonderful godly relatives. But there is a family that we can all be grafted into that we should seek. The family of God is where we can all be joint heirs with Jesus, inheriting a life everlasting filled with love, joy, and peace.

Matthew 6:33 (NLT) - “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
