A lot of television shows and movies today deal with time travel and the consequences of it. Have you ever made the statement, “If I could only go back in time and change…”? I have made that statement or had that thought so many times that I couldn’t count them all. But think of the ripple effect that a different decision could make that would change the course of your life.
Mistakes we have made have ultimately turned into wonderful things that we would never want to undo now that we have come through the other side. There are so many examples of how going back and doing anything differently would change everything. Marrying a different person, for example, would give you different children and grandchildren. Taking a different career path would cause you to live in a different location. You would have different friends and a whole different set of life circumstances.
You are who you are because of the path that you have taken. There is no going back and you live with the decisions you have made, the story that is yours, and the road you are on. Be thankful for the life you have lived and look forward, not behind you. Take the lessons you have learned along the way and teach others. Turn a negative into a positive and let God use it for good!
