Now that I've got that old "Police" song stuck in your head, forget about that. Besides, God will be watching you, not me. What I want to say is that every breath counts and every day counts. Life is really so brief in the context of eternity, no matter how long we live!
I remember when I was a child how I always wished I was older. Time between birthdays seemed to be an eternity. I wanted to be old enough to go to school. I wanted to be a teenager and then I wanted to be 16 so I could drive a car. I wanted to turn 21 so I could be a real adult! I kept wishing my life away. Now I realize how brief my life really is, even if I live another 40 years.
Every day is precious and each moment is one to be cherished; another opportunity to spend time with those you love or lift up and encourage others who may need it. We all have a calling and a purpose. We aren't here just to occupy space and use up oxygen. Find your passion and pursue it with as much zeal and enthusiasm as you have inside you.
You have much to offer and God has a plan for you. Remember... every breath you take, every move you make, every.... oh wait, there goes that song in my head again!
Psalms 39:4 (NLT) - "LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered - how fleeting my life is."
