Are you working hard or hardly working? Have you ever had someone ask you that? I am actually working hard at trying to work hard! It is really hard to stay focused this morning after my trip to the mountains for the lakeside camp out. My eyeballs keep rolling to the backside of my skull and my head almost bounced off my desk three times already.
The truthful answer is that I am hardly working today since my concentration is nonexistent. I want to and I need to because I have much to do and the pile will only get larger if I don't dig in and get it done. I will have to take my coffee intravenously today to keep me going.
It would be really great if all the people that are depending on my work product were hardly working as well. They seem to be working hard, though, and would not be pleased to find out that I am hardly working. They don't care that I was off having a wonderfully exhausting time having fun while they were back here working hard. Such ungrateful people they are!
I suppose I should shake off the cobwebs and get back to work now.
Proverbs 26:14 (NLT) - "As a door swings back and forth on its hinges, so the lazy person turns over in bed."
