Wouldn't it be great if we could all just be kind to one another? One of the things I love about my southern upbringing is that, generally, people are kind toward each other. A simple "howdy" with a smile or a nod goes a long way where I come from. It says, "I see you, I acknowledge your presence."
We should forgive each other and not harbor grudges. It is bad for us and bad for the person that we refuse to forgive. When we choose to forgive we release the hold that person has on our emotions and a hardness in our hearts that can negatively affect us for the rest of our lives.
We should follow the example of Christ. We are sinners in need of forgiveness and God has forgiven us. That is why we should forgive others that have wronged us!
Ephesians 4:32 (AMP) - "Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you."
