Well, I’m not sure what I was supposed to save for a rainy day, but it’s raining here in California. I thought I left the wet stuff back in Arkansas! We sure have needed it here though, and it looks like we’ll have several days of it.
Now all of the authorities are concerned about the burn areas and the potential for mudslides. Days of slow, steady, soaking rain are good for growth and nutrition for plants and trees, but I’m ready for some sunshine!
I’m on my lunch break and I decided to sit in my car to write this blog. As I sit here and listen to the rain tapping on the metal roof, it makes a soothing sound that is relaxing and almost hypnotic. There is no wind, so it showers the earth gently with a steady pattern of rain that seems as though it will never end.
God showers us with his love and supplies us with an abundance of blessing from his unlimited storehouse. If we could comprehend it, we would be overwhelmed with joy and thanksgiving for his unending love and provision.
Shower the Lord with continuous praise and let your heart rejoice in all that he has done for you!
Lamentations 3:22-23 (NLT) - “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
