One of the many things you’ll discover as you get older and look back on your life is how much time you wasted on nonsensical things. It’s very humbling when you think about that. I’m trying to think about that now as I think about my life now and looking forward. I want each day to be productive, joyful, and meaningful.
Time is a precious commodity and it goes by so fast. When you are a kid, it seems to go by so slowly and you wish that you were older. We spend the first part of our lives wishing time would speed up and the rest of our lives wanting it to slow down. My wedding seems like yesterday, as does the birth of each of my children. Now, suddenly, I have grandchildren who are growing incredibly fast. Where has the time gone?
So, my advice for today is simple. Make each day count and enjoy every moment. Don’t waste time!
Psalms 39:5 (NLT) - “You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath.”
