A group of men, whose hearts are bigger than the mountain we’re gathering on, are getting together this weekend for fishing, fellowship, and fun. No agenda, no schedule, and no expectations other than to be together for a couple of days to unwind, relax, laugh, and tell a lot of stories… some of them may even be true!
This isn’t a church function, but we are Christian men and we will pray for any expressed needs. Men have a need to gather together occasionally to sharpen one another through fellowship and kinship. God has ingrained that into our DNA.
Mammoth may be the name of this mountain, but these men are spiritual mammoths and I am excited for the opportunity to spend the weekend with them. I look forward to the ribbing and teasing, the one-upmanshipping, and the joking that always occurs when men get together. It will be a mountaintop experience that I won’t soon forget!
