Men's Meetings

I’m excited about my Friday night! Our church is having a Men’s Gathering, as it’s called, which is a men’s fellowship at church. We’re barbecuing and having worship, fellowship, and a Word from our pastor. It’s always fun to gather together as men and talk about “man stuff”. I only wish I had my dad and my son here to take with me, but it will be great to be with the men of the church.

Men need to take time to get to know one another and pray together and deal with issues that we have in common. It helps us keep each other sharp and accountable. Growth happens when we are able to be open and honest about what we are going through and pray for each other. Our families benefit from these events because we come home recharged and renewed as a result.

I encourage you men to take part in a men’s fellowship in your church. If you don’t have one, then start one and get other men involved. It works out as an awesome monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual event as a ministry for any church and will pay dividends as the men grow together and mature in their faith.
