Remember When You Were the One?

One of my favorite stories that Jesus tells in the Bible is the parable of the lost lamb. It refers to a shepherd leaving behind 99 sheep to go out and look for one lamb that has wandered away and is lost. This is a great picture of the Father’s awesome love for us. It demonstrates how much he loves and cares for us, even when we wander off and become lost.

God sent us his one and only Son to find us and lead us back to the sheepfold. Do you remember when you were the lost lamb, wandering around in the wilderness, lost and without direction? Maybe you are that lost lamb now. He has been looking for you and wants to bring you back. Let yourself be found today!

There are many lost lambs out there that you know. Tell them about the Great Shepherd. Don’t let them wander alone like you once did. Show the same care and compassion that you were shown. Always remember that you were once one of them!

Matthew 18:12 (TPT) - “Think of it this way: If a man owns a hundred sheep and one lamb wanders away and is lost, won’t he leave the ninety-nine grazing on the hillside and go out and thoroughly search for the one lost lamb?”
