For me, a father is a great thing. I have the greatest one you could ever hope for. Imagine your idea of the ideal father and most loving man and that’s my dad. I am blessed beyond belief to have him as a godly example to model my life after.
I realize that not everyone has a father that is or was a good role model and many do not have a father at all through either the tragedies of death, divorce, abandonment, prison, or other reasons.
No one has a perfect father, not even me with my awesome dad. I’m a father and I am far from perfect! But we all have a Heavenly Father that we can look to who is perfect. He is the one we can all go to and seek for wisdom and counsel. He loves you and cares for you more than you could ever fathom.
Today is a day to honor fathers. Every day is a day to honor Father God!
Psalms 103:13 (NLT) - “The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.”
