Goodness Exposed

We all know people like that, right? You know, the ones that go around and point out everyone’s good traits just so they can look bad! They never have anything mean to say about anyone and go around spreading truth and refusing to gossip about anyone or anything.

Okay, maybe you don’t know anyone like that, but it’s time to become like that. Instead of looking for faults in others, look for their positive traits. Find the goodness that is inside them and expose that. When you point that out and draw attention to it, that is what others will see. You will have edified, or built them up, in front of others. That will create an atmosphere of mutual respect and edification that you will both reap benefits from.

Read the book of Proverbs and discover many of the powerful truths about the wisdom of controlling your tongue. It is a powerful tool, so use it to bless others!

Proverbs 13:3 (NLT) - “Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.”
