God is speaking, but I rarely put myself in a position to listen. I allow the noise and distractions of my day to drown out his voice and the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
As I sit here alone in my chair in the peaceful tranquility of the lakefront, the Lord’s voice is clear and unhindered by people and things he didn’t create. I’m humbled and warmed by his presence and it puzzles me why I don’t get alone with him more.
I’m in awe that the Creator wants to spend time to speak to me and share his plans and his direction for my life. He wants to hear my burdens and lift them from my shoulders. He knows the plans that he has for me. It’s time to listen!
Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) - “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
