A Little Taste

This week has gone by way too fast, but it’s not over yet. It is already full of fun and cherished memories we’ve made at our lake house. The plan is for this to be a vacation rental initially (for tax purposes) and eventually it could be our retirement home.

I’ve taken a taste of what retirement will be like and it is delicious! My appetite has been whetted and I’m craving for more. It’s so hard not to call this place home because we’ve had so much family here and we don’t want this to end. Plus much of our furniture is here! If there was just a way to get our Florida family, our church family, and California friends to move here, it would be perfect!

This has been a much needed respite and God has truly blessed me. He cares for his children and wants to bless us. It’s important to live our lives in such a way that we put ourselves in a position to be blessed. For me, it’s a daily learning process as I continue to grow in my walk with him and in my pursuit to please him. I believe that pursuit will make my retirement years even sweeter!

I’m ready for more than a taste now. I want the whole thing!
