Without Limits

A younger friend of mine said something to me the other day that I laughed off at the time, but I’ve been reflecting on it ever since. We used to play softball together about 10 years ago. He said that we should put together a team and play again. I laughed and asked him if he meant that I should coach it and he looked right at me with a puzzled look on his face and said that I could still play.

That’s when I realized that I have put limits on myself and allowed myself to feel old. I’m certainly not as young as I used to be, but there is no reason that I can’t put on my glove and step back out on the ol’ diamond and play again. I just have to exercise wisdom. I don’t know if we will form a team up and actually play, but I am excited about the idea of it now and I will certainly consider it if we pursue this idea.

God will not put any limits on us if we will step out and trust him as we pursue his will and follow him. He is faithful to his word and will enable us to carry out whatever assignment he has for us. Our age, whether we are young or old, will not hinder our ability to fulfill his call. Never limit yourself at any age!

Joshua 14:11 (NLT) - “I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent me on that journey, and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then.”
