How good are your kids at picking their friends? What group do they gravitate towards? Are their friends good kids that go to church and stay out of trouble or are they rebellious and mischievous? Do you notice a change in your child’s behavior when he or she has been spending time with them?
These are important observations every parent needs to make. The parents of your kids’ friends are an important piece of the puzzle as well. If your child is at their house, make sure they are good supervisors and have similar concerns as you.
We can raise our children well, only to have everything undone by others if we aren’t mindful of potentially bad influences from others. Take an interest in their friends and get to know them. Take care of your precious investment!
Matthew 18:6 (NLT) - “But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.”
