Our enemy, the devil, has a lot of weapons in his arsenal that he loves to use against us. They can be physical, spiritual, or emotional weapons. Some of the attacks could come from friends, family, coworkers, or even fellow believers. He can use the words or actions of anyone to ruin your day if you let him. The key to his success is you.
The Word tells us that no weapon formed against us will prosper. Some people interpret that to mean that no weapon will be formed against us, but that’s not true. I have them aimed at me all the time. In fact, I’ve been blasted more times than I can count by the enemy’s weapons. The good news is… I’m wearing the armor of God and the weapons have not succeeded in penetrating and destroying me.
Once the enemy attacks, we can fight back with the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. The enemy has to flee from the servants of the Lord who are equipped with God’s armor and who yield the sword. So, even though weapons will be formed against me, none will succeed!
Isaiah 54:17 (NLT) - “But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the LORD; their vindication will come from me. I, the LORD, have spoken!”
