I found a silver lining in the midst of this COVID-19 situation. It appears that I will be working from home for the next two or more weeks! Today was the first day and, although we have a lot of glitches to work through, I think it could work out great. At least for me, it will be a few work days of no commuting, and that is a huge blessing!
I could certainly get used to this, but I know it will only last for a short season. I am thankful for the time I get to be home with my wife while I work and the extra hours we recapture that would have been lost during my commute. Not getting up at 3:00 in the morning is an added bonus as well.
So, in spite of the potential dangers of the Coronavirus, it’s nice to find a few golden nuggets out of the situation, instead of focusing on the down side. I pray that it will soon be fully contained and eradicated so that we can all return to our normal routines. My prayers go up for our President and leaders, to those who have suffered loss, and to all who are afraid. Keep the faith and may your joy be restored!
