Do you have anyone in your life that knows how to push your buttons? It’s usually a significant other, a child, or a close friend. Someone that knows you well or spends a significant amount of time with you, knows just what it takes to get under your skin and how far they can push, before you go off.
Have you ever noticed how hard it is to love someone in the midst of their disobedience? It’s easier when they are treating you well or when they are your friend. But when they know the things that please you, and choose to do the things that don’t, isn’t it harder to love them? It would be unimaginable to sacrifice the life of your son for them. That’s how much God loves us!
He sent Christ to us while were still sinners. He didn’t send Him to us because we were good enough. He sent Him because of His great love for us and He didn’t want us to perish in our sins. We are constantly pushing God’s buttons by willfully disobeying Him and doing the things that don’t please Him. Show your love for Him by being obedient and stop pushing buttons!
Romans 5:8 (NLT) - “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
