Busy As Busy Can Be

Things started out slow when I began to work from home at the beginning of the quarantine several years ago. Or was that only a few months ago… or was it weeks? Does anyone even remember? Work came in slowly at first, but then it picked up speed as everyone adjusted to the new schedules and work environments. The intensity of my work generally ebbs and flows as my digital forensic skills are needed for the attorneys and paralegals to perform their work.

This week has been full throttle, non-stop, petal-to-the-metal work. There seems to be no end in sight to my inbox, because for every case that I complete, two more come in. That’s job security, but it sure is intense. I can hardly catch my breath between cases. I’m busy as busy can be!

The best part of it is, I would have to work this hard anyway, so it’s great that I don’t have the long commute on each end of my workday. That gives me a lot of motivation to work hard from home. The biggest plus is that I get to spend more time with my wife. So, although I’m busy, I’m very happy to be here in my home and thankful to have a job. God has been so good to me!

Romans 8:28 (NLT) - “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
