I attended a graveside funeral service this morning. I didn’t know her, but she was the mother of a good friend of mine. Afterwords I strolled over to my mother’s gravesite. I cannot believe it’s been 12 1/2 years since her passing.
Today was a reminder of how short life is in light of eternity. My mother was 79 and my father is currently 97. The length of their years are just the blink of an eye. I am constantly searching my heart and examining my life in pursuit of God.
Lean on him and use your time in this life to seek God and serve him. Don’t waste your time (I’ve wasted way too much) on foolish endeavors and things that don’t please him. Live a life of joy and peace as you live for him.
Colossians 3:3 (NLT) - “For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.”
