There is so much talk in the news about corruption or alleged corruption. There should be no room or tolerance for that in our society, country, or government. Dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power erodes the confidence and trust in our institutions.
Founded on the belief that our efforts are in vain without God, our country must return to its founding values. Requiring our leaders to be honest and truthful in all of their efforts and holding them accountable for their actions would help alleviate the amount of corruption we see today.
Sin corrupts our lives and causes us to to be ensnared by the world’s values. Just as you don’t want corruption in our government and its leaders, don’t allow it in your spiritual life. Seek a pure and holy life, hold yourself accountable for your actions, and confess your sins to God. Trust in Him and live by His values.
James 1:17 (TPT) - “True spirituality that is pure in the eyes of our Father God is to make a difference in the lives of the orphans, and widows in their troubles, and to refuse to be corrupted by the world’s values.”
