Humidity

Humidity is definitely not one of the positive factors for living in the south. I went out for my daily walk early this morning as per usual. The temperature was in the mid 70’s but the humidity was at 90%. That is smothering and breathtaking. I was soaked with sweat by the time I finished. It is one of those days that we say you can cut the air with a knife.

This is the reverse of the climate in the high desert of Southern California where we lived previously. We had extremely high temperatures there but the joke was, “At least it’s a dry heat.” My skin was always dry there but here in Arkansas my skin is moist and often clammy. But at least we live in a green and beautiful state!

Just like my time in the Marines, we have been in every clime and place. We have gone wherever God has called us. Some places I would not have chosen but we made the best of each location. God blessed us each and every time. So whether you live in a dry or humid climate make the choice to thrive and love your home wherever it may be!
