One of my favorite childhood games was Hide and Seek. I don't know if I was really good at it or if my two older brothers and cousins just left me there in my hiding spot and went off to play other games without me. Hmm...
Have you ever tried to hide from God? That is impossible to do, but we try to sometimes. There are those secret things that we refuse to let go of and we convince ourselves that maybe God won't notice or mind if we do it... just this once. Our act of hiding can simply be a case of justifying our actions or rationalizing away our sin.
God is omnipresent, which means that he is present in all places at all times. There is no place that we can run and no place that we can hide that he will not see us. No one likes to play a game they can never win, so don't play hide and seek with God. He wins every time!
